Enjoy Stamford's many cafes, inns and restaurants with outdoor seating. There's lots to choose from and you can treat yourself to lovely views of the town, the meadows and river while enjoying a coffee or a snack.
At home, utilise that little space in your garden to enjoy the last few days of al fresco dining & add some vintage crockery for extra cheer!
Stock a vintage picnic hamper with some pretty pre-loved cups and plates & head off to the Meadows, Burghley Park or the
Recreation Ground!

Summer Strolling!
After your family picnic, why not take a summer stroll with your binoculars, camera & a nature book? You'll see that this is a popular pastime this Autumn too!

Stamford has many pretty places to take a walk: the meadows, Water Street along the River Welland, the recreation ground, & Burghley Park to name just a few! Swans and moorhen can be seen on the river, along with grey wagtails, and Daubenton's bats. The Welland is a great place to spot a variety of moths, Kingfishers and varieties of freshwater fish. An abundance of different trees and flowers grow along the riverbank & in the gardens. Don't forget to listen for birdsong: robin, sparrow, goldfinch and goldcrest, and look out for grey squirrels!
